Tell us about yourself:
As Director of Global Health at Alder Hey, I’m developing the Global Health Programme, establishing its Vision and Strategy, and integrating it into the organisation’s GO and Vision 2030 Strategy. The framework is built on five pillars: education and training, clinical capacity building, research and innovation, infrastructure, and consultancy. I’m fostering collaborations with international hospitals and agencies, creating partnerships including reinvestable income for Alder Hey.
Fun fact about yourself:
I spent 7 wild months in Peru’s Manu rainforest as the first doctor treating Piros & Machiguengas tribes (when they preferred me over their healer!). Also a keen rower—snagged a silver medal at the British Rowing Masters 2024!
