Little hearts at home – connecting parents and professionals
Alder Hey Innovation’s ‘Little Hearts at Home’ (LHAH) platform has been selected as one of four projects across the UK to receive funding from the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Healthcare Innovation Fund. This initiative aims to test and evaluate innovative approaches to improve services for patients with cardiovascular disease.
The BHF funding will support further development of LHAH, enabling its use by both carers and healthcare professionals. This expansion aims to extend the platform’s reach to families in areas with limited community services, addressing health inequalities and ensuring more infants receive timely, coordinated care.
Professor Bryan Williams, Chief Scientific and Medical Officer at the BHF, highlighted the potential of such projects to harness technology for improved patient care, stating that these initiatives will provide new insights into delivering optimal care for heart patients.
This recognition underscores Alder Hey Innovation’s commitment to advancing paediatric healthcare through collaborative, technology-driven solutions.
