
Alder Hey Secures Over £4M to Transform Children’s Healthcare
Alder Hey is set to receive a major funding boost of over £4 million, strengthening its position as a global leader in paediatric healthcare innovation. This investment by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, will accelerate groundbreaking projects aimed at improving children’s health outcomes and pioneering new medical technologies. It is part of a £9.44million initiative known as the Paediatric Open Innovation Zone (POIZ).
The POIZ will support Alder Hey’s cutting-edge innovation initiatives, including advancements in AI-driven diagnostics, remote monitoring solutions, and personalised treatment approaches. It will also drive collaborations with local and industry leaders, universities, and technology partners to create new opportunities for research and development, positioning Liverpool at the forefront of paediatric healthcare advancements.
